Custom Order Process

We strive to have happy and repeat customers who enjoy their pieces for years.  We take great care to ensure that every piece of furniture is to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Your satisfaction with our products is of the utmost importance to us. 

This page is meant to be a quick and informative overview of the custom order process.  Our goal for laying out this process is to reduce confusion, making it overall a more enjoyable experience for us all.  

 

  • Complete the “Custom Order” form at the bottom of this page. 

    • This will give us important information to start the custom order process.

    • It is appreciated that this form is filled out as thoroughly as possible.  This will ensure any potential conflicts between the estimated budget and the product requested are addressed as soon as possible.  If possible, provide pictures of designs you like or would like something similar to your piece request.

    • We will respond to form completions in the order they are received.

    • Initial contact with the client will be established after completion of the form to discuss the project in further detail.

  • Design Meeting - What to expect.

    • This meeting is usually conducted over the phone.  However, a Zoom call or an in person meeting can be arranged if requested.

    • It is crucial for you to bring any information you deem important about your order up during the design meeting. 

    • Common items discussed during this appointment:

      • Desired dimensions 

      • Species of wood or desired color of wood.

      • Design styles (farmhouse, modern, industrial, rustic, etc.)

      • Desired finishes (stain vs paint, two-toned vs monochromatic, etc.)

      • Any strict deadlines 

    • It is assumed that areas of the product design not specifically covered by the client during this meeting are being left to the interpretation of the craftsman.

  • Response to Design Meeting

    • You will be notified after the initial appointment with one of the following:  

      • Order acceptance with a rough design

      • Questions pertaining to a problem with order

      • Rejection of order.

    • Rough design will be presented with a cost estimate.
